Daniel’s advising specialty is in STEM careers, including healthcare. He helps students clarify their career aspirations and map-out their future in science or healthcare through one-on-one advising and programmed events.
Daniel is a trained scientist with academic and industry experience. His quest to become a scientist took him first to Lyon, France, where he completed his Bachelors degree in Biochemistry and his Masters degree in Structural and Functional Biochemistry, both at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. He completed a Doctorate degree in Biochemistry at McGill University, specializing in protein structural analysis through cryo-electron microscopy. Working in biotechnology, he acquired extensive knowledge on developing lateral flow assays, tinkering with novel technologies and training fellow scientists, including product transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
On his down time, Daniel likes to explore new trails on his mountain bike or trail running, or spend time at the beach surfing. He shares his passion for the great outdoors with his wife, his daughter and his dog.
