Sociology majors gain many transferable skills in critical analysis, interpersonal relationships, and communication during their study. An undergraduate degree in sociology will lead many students to nonprofit organizations, business, and government as well as to Masters studies concentrating on applied, clinical, or professional tracks. Additionally, those who wish to pursue a Masters degree in sociology will have the option of PhD study and a profession in academia.
