“My liberal arts education prepared me for medical school by teaching me how to learn and how to connect with many different kinds of people. My major in Neuroscience prepared me for the scientific backbone of medicine. My major in Russian helped me develop a real appreciation for other cultures and languages. Also, every once in a blue moon I have a Russian speaking patient.”
